Accountancy
Services include the preparation of accounts for all kinds of businesses.
I have a bureau licence with Sage and can import clients' data directly onto my computer, so facilitating efficient accounts preparation. For other clients I devise spreadsheet or manual accounting solutions, all aimed at providing useful management information and keeping owner 'admin' time to a minimum.
Taxation
Services include tax planning, tax compliance and the settlement of tax investigations.
I provide tax planning advice to individuals, partnerships, companies and trustees. The taxes on which I advise are income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax. Capital gains tax and inheritance tax can have a serious impact on one's wealth/estate. Planning can mitigate the effect of these taxes.
My main compliance service is the preparation of self assessment tax returns. In providing this service I use the latest tax software developed by Digita. Making full disclosure and offering explanations where they are called for is an important part of the compliance service as it reduces the chances of a return being selected for enquiry by H M Revenue & Customs.
My investigation services involve advising those whose affairs come under the scrutiny of H M Revenue & Customs and negotiating a settlement. I offer a professional fees protection scheme to all my clients. Those who subscribe to the scheme have the comfort of knowing their professional fees are covered should they ever be selected for a full enquiry. Business clients also have the benefit of free, unlimited access to the CCH Business Support Helpline.
